I can't really begin this little article without saying that the
TwinStar Meditation is hands down the most dynamic meditation practice
on this earth...possibly any. And yes, I have taken the time to study
them all, at least peripherally and in some instances in great depth.
You are not going to understand why that is in one fell swoop and I am
not going to try to explain it in this way either. Just be aware that
someone is making this assertion who has good reason to think it true.
The TwinStar Meditation is accomplished in three distinct rotations, or
"sweeps". In the above example we are looking at the Counter-Clockwise (widdershins)
Rotation from start to finish. This is where one would ordinarily begin,
followed up with the Clockwise (deiseil) Rotation and the Final Close.
The Clockwise Rotation is exactly like the Counter-Clockwise Rotation in
reverse and the Final Close is simply a repetition of the Clockwise
Center & Ground operation.
The traditional aim of the Eight Limbs of Yoga is to
bring the practitioner to a place where Meditation is possible and will
not be a waste of time and energy, yet the Yogas have fallen prey to a
kind of trap in most cases and have become and ends unto themselves. We
find so much information available on the Yogas that the mind fairly
reels from the overload, yet almost nothing of any real substance on
Meditation itself. What I am outlining here on this site is, in fact,
the solution to that dilemma. Don't expect any *authorities* to stand up
and endorse this wisdom. Don't expect any famous practitioners to come
forward and confirm it. This will not occur. I am running ahead of the
curve to draw down vital information that we otherwise may not have time
left to us to arrive at gradually. You will have to get used to thinking
about all of this and asking/answering the hard questions for
yourselves. All the answers are contained within the model itself, which
is ultimately completely self-evident. But it will not be self-evident
if you do not take the time to scrutinize it thoroughly. This is a
Thinking Meditation. If you don't want to think...go find some other
activity as this is simply not for you at this time. You
should approach this image as though it were a standard mirror. You
should imagine that the image looking back at you is your own
reflection. If you raise your right hand, the image should appear to
raise its left etc. This practice is especially well-suited as a
projection exercise against a crystal or talisman or any object that
works for you, but can also be taken internally without affecting any
changes in the way you would do things or the order of their unfolding.
The construction of the TwinStar always works in an infinity loop, or a
figure-eight trajectory, such that either half alone will not produce
the entire image. This is a legitimately symbiotic symbolism that always
requires both halves to yield the balanced whole. Either half, viewed
independently, will not even give us a complete pentagram, while the
adjoining of both halves not only gives us two interlocking pentagrams,
but a smaller third pentagram (at center) as well. This is a very
important feature of the TwinStar and is just one of the things that
makes it uniquely magickal. This entire meditation excercise is *unicursal*
from start to finish, since we always begin poised at center and return
to center on the final float-back from Hé to Tau in the Triangle. The
lines themselves all coordinate with the Tree of Life and can be seen to
draw energy from Ain Soph Aur (called the Boundless Light) at Apex and
systematically circulate that energy through the entire Tree system,
returning everything to Apex again, affording us a final drop of
perfected wholeness. The specific arrangement of numbers is also *magickal*,
adding to 17 on 3 sides and across center, or 27 if we add the 10 at
center. 17 is the number of the Jen (or Man) Line in Trigrammaton, while
27 is the number of Trigrams in Trigrammaton on the ternary side. In the
Abrahadabra Grid, the TwinStar takes up exactly 81 equilateral triangles
and can be seen to be constructed on the apex points of the Secret
Chiefs themselves. 81 is the general number of Tetragrammaton and is
also the numeration of IAO. These are just a very few of the key
attributes of the TwinStar configuration, making it the single most
remarkable topological constant that the Tetractys itself can afford us.
Some will perhaps complain that the illustration itself
moves too rapidly to be studied effectively. While I could easily slow
it down, it should be noted that this particular visualization exercise
is especially athletic in nature. Fast is what it is and acceleration,
generally, is what it's all about. Give it a little time and you'll soon
be acclimated to its velocities and altitudes. This is a very lofty
symbolism that is able to traverse whole universe at the speed of
thought and thinking quickly and accurately is just one of the many
qualities we acquire from its practice. This meditation will enhance
your powers of observation and logical thinking, while at the same time
clean, energize and uplift the entire Body of Light anatomy.
