In order to really understand the nature of the circle, it is
best to to assimilate as much as possible regarding the nature of the Tao -
which is certainly an opinion - but a time-tested one. There are a number of
factors going on in this immediate context that need to be pointed out. The
first thing is that we are dealing with a four-part division of the circle here
and this will continue to be the case throughout the remainder of this treatise.
It is very important to get used to the circle divided up in this way in order
to easily assimilate hexagrammal fields later on.
We construct the circle using a combination of visualization and
chant, or light and sound, respectively. What is not shown in the diagram (since
I could find no good way to demonstrate it) is where one actually begins. This
is always the same in Abrahadabra. We begin at the center of the circle, by
pooling together all of our psychic energy in a tight little ball and holding it
there steady. At the appropriate moment we "reach" to the apex of the triangle
and begin drawing energy from this point downward through the "A" quadrant
(pronounced "AH"), continuing downwards through the "V" quadrant (pronounced
"OH"), then upwards through the "M" quadrant (pronounced "MM"), completing the
arc of the circle through the "N" quadrant (pronounced "GN", as in gnosis). When
the action is performed correctly, you should experience a slight "rumble" as
the circle closes which should be held there for a moment until it settles down.
It is both possible and advisable to learn to synchronize ones
breathing with the visualization of the circle, exhaling evenly on the downward
arc with a slight pause at the bottom, then inhaling evenly on the upward arc,
again pausing briefly at apex between breaths. While the synchronization of
breath will not be practical in all applications, learning how to do this
correctly will prove an enormous benefit to you down the line as it gets you
into the proper habit of sinking energy into your actions and not just "going
through the motions" which can be detrimental if one persists at this too much.
There is really no point doing this practice at all if you can't do it with a
little force and fire.
The circle collects and disseminates energy evenly but does not
"deposit" it per se...it leans neither to the left nor to the right but
continually ebbs and flows in universal tides of coming and going. It allows us
a means of collection, harmonization, and fortification all at once. It moves in
two directions, counter-clockwise (corresponding to ascending force) and
clockwise (corresponding to descending force) and should be visualized in three
dimensions (or spherically) instead of only two. There are as many applications
of the circle as there are contexts to apply it to, but our focus in this
immediate discussion will always be the Abrahadabra grid, which holds out a few
surprises for us in places, such as the fact that the center of the circle does
not connect exactly center to Tiphareth (or Sol) as it does within the Tree of
Life. It is important to bear in mind that nothing has been sacrificed in this
regard, but we are simply applying the circle to the larger context of
Abrahadabra and will get from this whatever the geometry itself allows.
One of the many things that the Abrahadabra grid resolves is the
geometry of the Tree of Life itself. Those of you who have studied the Tree at
all have no doubt noticed various renditions showing Malkuth (or Kingdom)
descended to meet the relationship of the feet when a person is in a standing
position. This would seem to make sense on the face of it but the Abrahadabra
grid advises against it as an unnecessary departure from protocol and ultimately
superfluous since the circle itself is sufficient to account for the feet when
applied to the Abrahadabra grid. Moreover, the 10th sephiroth more properly
corresponds to the Mulhadara Chakra at the base of the spine and not the feet at
all. In Abrahadabra, we can dispense with this foolish debate as it only serves
to complicate what needs no complication. It may also be useful to reflect upon
the fact that while the Sephiroth correspond to the human body, they only
actually do so as a matter of circumstance. Unlike the Chakras which do an
excellent job of charting the human anatomy itself, the Sephiroth are much more
a map of our surrounding "cosm". They are more accurately a map of universe
itself of which man is a balanced microcosm and is therefore aligned to
anatomically and psychically. Anyone who has really worked extensively with the
Sephiroth will be able to appreciate this in ways that the uninitiated cannot.
While we may wish to make of it a map of the human body in the first case, it is
chiefly a map of macrocosm to which humankind is a balanced microcosm.
